Let me start this post by explaining why I am having a bachelorette trip after our wedding: COVID. All rules around weddings were thrown out the window when it comes to tradition. Without any idea of if we could attend any events together prior to the wedding, my bridal party + I decided it would be best to wait until after our wedding in January 2021. So call it a girl’s weekend if you wish, but this is a bachelorette weekend for me!!!

White dresses for my bachelorette party

Clothing

As if I needed another excuse to buy more clothing!! Even though this trip is taking place after the wedding, I can still wear white, right?! I packed practically everything white I owned in my closet but my favorites are the dresses! This lace detail mini dress is perfect for a night out on Clematis Street + a flowy white front tie dress is for brunch on the last day of the trip. + of course, no outfit is complete without a purse. The Mrs. purse was a gift from my maid of honor as a wedding gift, + I love how cute it is!

I threw in some other white pieces including a pair of white biker shorts (for a surprise event on the first night!), a basic white cropped t-shirt to wear on the plane, a two piece loose fitting set for walking around West Palm Beach, + of course a white bikini + white sheer cover up for our beach day! This lace detail of the bikini is so flirty + I love how unique the set is!

I also packed my bridal PJs from the wedding because they are the softest pair I own – seriously! A blue babydoll style dress made its way into my bag to wear out + about on the night we fly into West Palm Beach + of course, I packed other necessities that would be on any packing list including: panties, my sticky boobs (life savers), toiletries, makeup, hair products + my favorite sandals from Steve Madden. These slide ons are one of my favorites because they are easy to walk around in but the detail matches with any type of outfit.

Beach Necessities

I plan to write another blog post on everything I take to the beach but for this trip, I wanted to make sure I was well prepared for the summer heat! Sunscreen is a MUST, especially for my fair skin, so I packed my current mineral face sunscreen from First Aid Beauty (no longer available) + a new mineral body sunscreen. side note – I highly suggest looking at the difference between chemical + mineral sunscreens to see the overall benefits//advantages mineral sunscreens provide!

I couldn’t forget a towel but needed something easy to pack. Turkish towels are much thinner than a traditional towel + repel sand + water. While it may not be the best at drying off after swimming, I think this turkish towel will be perfect for the beach to avoid a sandy mess at the end of the day. Last but not least, everyone needs a beach tote. I got this straw tote from Target + I love the tassel detail! It is very roomy, which is nice for my big straw hat to fit in!

Bridal Party Gifts

My love languages are gift giving + quality time. So, if there is a celebration of any sort, I love to give gifts + this bachelorette weekend was no exception! I wanted to have most items relate to the tropical theme of the weekend, so I found these $6 sarongs for the girls + myself! I got myself a white sarong, my maid of honor a hot pink one, + the girls each a black one for our beach day. We will definitely need to hydrate while in the sun, so I found personalized tumblers in a flamingo color. I also found these affordable tote bags + had them personalized for each of the girls as well.

This post is one of those very detail oriented ones, but I thought it would be helpful for any future bride planning a beach bachelorette weekend! + if you are a fellow COVID bride, shake things up a little bit!! Don’t be afraid to have a party even after the wedding!
